The National Aquarium
The National Aquarium is in Baltimore, Maryland. This aquarium is home for about 16,500 different specimens and over 660 species of animals.
These animals include Australian animals, amphibians, birds, fish, invertebrates, mammals, and reptiles. They have exhibits like "Jellies Invasion: Oceans Out of Balance." In this exhibit, you'll see how jellies populations are changing the balance of the Earth's aquatic ecosystems.
There's also "Our Ocean Planet, The New Dolphin Show." Here, you will explore thedepths of the waters by exploring a dolphin's world.
You also need to experience their 4D Immersion Theater, with daily shows. These shows will bring you closer to the sights, sounds, and even the smells of the action.
Animal Planet Australia: Wild Extremes is another exhibit they have there. You will be able to experience the different animals from Australia like lizards, foxes, crocodiles, and lorikeets.
The National Aquarium is also big on conservation. They have events and rescue programs that they encourage people to get involved in to help protect marine life.
They currently have some special events that are going on that you can attend as well. The first Friday of every month from now through March, you can join in celebrating traditions in art, music, literature, dance, and cuisine from 5-9 PM.
Visit the National Aquarium website for details on these and more events that are happening. They have a list for all of the different animals that you can see while at the aquarium. So if you're planning a trip to Baltimore, you should check this place out and see what all you can learn.
